What Is a Fit 3D Body Scan? 

The Fit 3D scan is a scan that captures images of the whole body with the goal of creating a highly detailed and accurate 3D model that can be viewed digitally. While this kind of technology has multiple uses, it is commonly used to help people achieve weight loss goals. This is a revolutionary type of fitness measurement equipment that is both easy to use and comfortable. 


How accurate is a Fit 3D body scan? Very. By taking into account other factors such as lean muscle mass and your specific body type, you can get a much more accurate scan of your overall health than a scale can ever offer you. Just relying on weight is not only inaccurate but also dangerous. You need to consider factors like gender, age, height, and body-fat composition. 


So how do you use it?  All you have to do is step onto the scanner, grasp both bars, and remain motionless as the platform spins a full 360 degrees. Meanwhile, an image sensor captures your entire body with remarkable accuracy of up to half an inch. The scanning process only lasts 40 seconds. 


When the scanning is finished, you will be presented with your fit 3D body scan results. These include a three-dimensional avatar of yourself, circumference measurements on critical body parts such as your thighs, neck, and biceps; plus an insightful look into your body composition consisting of both fat body percentage and lean muscle mass. 




Fit 3D Body Scan Results

After your scan, you will be looking at a report full of information about your circumference measurement, body fat percentage, and lean muscle mass. But, what does any of this really mean? 


Wellness Metrics

The first thing you will see on the report is the Wellness Metric section, where the bulk of the information will be. This will show you your overall body shape rating before then breaking it down further with measurements of key body parts such as your waist circumference and comparing your waist-to-hip ratio and trunk-to-leg ratio. Next to your score, you will see a section comparing your scan to other Fit 3D scans. 


In this section, you will also learn your body fat percentage and fat mass which can help you determine the different types of fat in your body and how it is distributed. Fat can be healthy in certain parts of the body, but in others, it can become a health risk. So, it’s important to know where exactly it is located. You’ll also learn about your lean mass, the weight of muscle tissue, skeletal tissue, and water in the body, and your basal metabolic rate (BMR), which shows the amount of energy your body burns at rest. 


Posture & Balance

The scan will also show you your posture, giving you the exact amount of inches you shift or tilt while facing the front, back, and side. It will also give you information about your balance. These measurements can help you learn more about how you carry yourself and decide if you need to work on improving your posture and balance. 


Circumference Measurements 

With circumference measurements, you will know the exact size of different parts of your body, measured in inches. Key body parts measured include the neck, bust, waist, hip, biceps, forearms, thighs, and calves. Knowing these measurements can help you determine weight goals while also helping you know the exact size of clothes.
