In This Issue: • Welcome Welcome Welcome to the Labor Day Edition of “The Experience”. I pray that this finds you at a positive time of your day. We are close to three quarters of the year done already. The fact that you have survived another year and have the chance to make a difference in the future is a blessing in itself. We usually take something like that for granted. But remember that the future is not guaranteed. In fact tomorrow is not even promised to us. So make the most out of every moment that you can and learn to cherish everything in your life. Today I want to touch on an interesting subject: Gym etiquette. Here is a list of my top ten rules for a safe, effective, and sociable workout experience: 1. Be cordial to the people around you – You don’t have to be best friends, but a good workout mood helps everyone work towards their goals. 2. Clean up your sweat off of machines, benches and mats******- This is big for common courtesy and more importantly health reasons. No one wants to lie in your sweat. 3. Don’t walk over other people workout area – Be mindful and observant of your surroundings. Walking around other people working out will NOT hurt your training. 4. Don’t wear musty clothes by choice – If it has been in your bag for a week, leave it in there. There is nothing worse than having to hold your breath because someone else smells bad. 5. Don’t wear excess perfume or body spray – This is just as bad as smelling bad. Too much perfume can overpower a room. If people know you were there after you have left, that is a problem. 6. Don’t sing out loud over your headphones – Just because you love that song, doesn’t mean that the rest of the gym does as well, especially your version of it. 7. Don’t hog equipment – This depends a lot on the number of people working out at the same time. Don’t grab a lighter or heavier weight “just in case you need it”. Someone else probably does need it. 8. Keep your real personal stories personal – Just because you work out at the same time or together does not mean that they want to know what little Johnny did last night. Be selective on what, who and at what time you share your stories. 9. Be conscience of your schedule – This is for the trainers. If you have an appointment set, make it or cancel in ample time and not 5 minutes before it is supposed to start. Also, you cannot just show up whenever you want to and expect to get trained. 10. Respect everyone else – Do on to others as you would want to be done on to you. Respect is universal and in a public setting it is important. 11. BONUS (For the trainers again) – Pay your fees on time – Most trainers hate having to ask for money. But more than that they hate feeling being taken advantage of. Remember this is their living that we are talking about. I hope that you got something out of my list. If anything stung, well then you know that you have something to work on. I would say that I am sorry if I stepped on your toes, but in a nice way of course, I am not. Remember common courtesy is the key. If you display it you will receive it. Please enjoy the highlights of two more of the trainers here at SFX. As always thank you for taking the time to read my message and I hope that you found at least a bit of inspiration in what I had to say. Please take the time to look at the great information on the rest of this newsletter and remember to leave your comments on the Face Book page (The newsletter will be posted there as well). Also please go to the web site for more fitness tips, like us on Face Book, follow us on Twitter and You Tube with the buttons on the side and check-in / leave a review on Yelp. Better Your
Memory By Eating Right Leading a healthy lifestyle can
cause so many benefits and that include helping you better your memory. This
is a very important aspect because if you will not take certain steps in
order to nurture it, you may end up with the disorders that are associated
with this function of your brain. Your memory is your brain's ability to
