I have been interested and active in the fitness and health field for as long as I can remember. I started playing sports in High School and that trend continued into college. I attended the University of Houston where I earned a degree in Physical Education and a Minor in Health education.
I have worked as teacher and coach most of my professional career. I taught and coached in Texas for 5 years before taking a break to begin a family. Most recently I have been teaching and coaching in a high school here in Roswell.
While teaching at the high school level I developed a passion to teach the value of a healthy body versus just focusing on what the body looks like. I believe that fitness is a way of life; it should not be approached as a short-term proposition. I believe it has to be a change from the inside out and that it must become a fundamental part of keeping our bodies healthy - not just making them look a certain way.
I became a certified personal trainer through N.A.S.M. and have enjoyed training in many different settings. Being a teacher at heart I approach training from a teachers viewpoint. My goal is to help people learn the why behind what they are doing so it becomes knowledge. …Something they can use the rest of their life.
