The SFX Challenge is a fun, exciting race event hosted by Sports Fitness Experience (SFX) and A Step Ahead Physical Therapy in Roswell. The whole event consists of to a 1 mile Fun Run, 5K, and a kid’s fun zone in addition to our SFX Challenge Race. We’ve teamed up with other great people in the City of Roswell to host a fun morning filled with activities for the whole family. This is our opportunity to educate the community as well as celebrate our fitness victories with our hardworking participants and clients. SFX’s mission is to do our part to help educate people and curb the current trend towards obesity in our society.

EVENTS

ULTIMATE CHALLENGE RACE

An ordinary 3-mile road race with unique “tabata” stations throughout the course and a “Finisher” station that includes:

  • Kettle Bells

  • Box Jumps

  • Battling Ropes

  • Tractor Tires

  • Sand Bags

  • And “The Wall” (with a surprise)

5K ROAD RACE

An easy to navigate, but somewhat challenging road race around the back side of the Blessed Trinity campus finishing on the Lacrosse Field.

KIDS 1-MILE FUN RUN

For kids ages 13 and under and parents of toddlers that want to join in the fun. The 1-mile course follows the same route as the 5K (shorter of course) and ends with a mad dash on the Lacrosse Field.

KIDS FUN ZONE

Something for the kids after they run or while they wait for you to run. Various games, challenges and more in a safe environment.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

  • A race technical t-shirt

  • Post-race food and entertainment

  • Entry into vendor raffles and door prizes

  • A bunch of fun with friends, and

  • The chance for bragging rights for one whole year

Proceeds from the SFX Challenge will go to support Children’s Health Care of Atlanta. Friends, the community volunteer organization of CHOA fundraises each year to fulfill several crucial needs. Thanks to Friends members and the community, Children’s is able to not only offer patients specialized care and equipment, but also fund cutting-edge research into new treatments. This year Friends groups are working to support six main areas:

  1. Nursing

  2. Marcus Autism Center

  3. Wellness efforts

  4. Hughes Spalding Hospital

  5. The Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit

  6. The Friends Research Fund
